Do you ever just sit in “wonderment” about something someone has done. On a daily basis I marvel at the lack of common sense that makes it’s way to the surface with most people. As the old saying goes–“common sense is not common”.
I just recently heard a story about a younger couple who is divorcing and the wife is going after her ex-spouse’s grandparents for money. What the Francis? How is a court allowing this? Isn’t there something to be said for couples who decide to marry, make their own household and choose to be adults? Shouldn’t their decision to stay married, divorce, separate (what have you), be strictly about them? Haven’t they decided to make their own way financially and no longer “cleave” to their families bosom? How does a judge sit and listen and let things like this go on? Explain to me the laws of our country that allow such nonsense to take up our government officials time?
I understand that divorce gets ugly. But, how does divorce involve anyone other than you and the spouse that you are trying to discard? I know it involves the children in so many instances which is unfortunate. In financial terms how can it involve other adults who have nothing to do with your marriage?
When did we become a country where fairness goes out the door when you get a lawyer to take your case? When did it become ok to harrass others who have nothing to do with your situation? When you just want to suck the blood out of anyone that gets in your way? Vampires abound!
Tell me fellow Ranters, is this right? Shoud someone be able to go after anyone in a family that you have married into? Does marrying Johnny Bonny give you the right to go after Uncle Joe’s gold mine? Do. you think we should , now have everyone related to you stand at the marriage altar and say I do? Cause…I don’t!
